An Engagement Photographer for Washington DC Couples

I'm Ethan, an engagement photographer based in Washington DC, and I photograph sessions that feel less like a shoot and more like a very good evening out. Film-inspired, unhurried, and built entirely around the two of you.

An engagement session that feels like a very good date

Most couples who reach out have never really been photographed together, and the first thing I want you to know is that it does not matter. You do not need to model, pose, or memorize what to do with your hands. I photograph the way you already are with each other: the in-joke, a hand at the small of a back, the walking and talking that fills the quiet parts. My whole job is to keep things loose and warm, so that half an hour in you have nearly forgotten I am there and the evening just gets to be yours.

The Washington DC you already love, in film-inspired color

As an engagement photographer in Washington DC, I lean on the city you two actually share rather than one famous backdrop. That might be the monuments just after dawn while the crowds are still asleep, the tall quiet light of a museum hall, a cobblestone block in Georgetown, or the water when the cherry trees turn and the season goes soft. Everything is timed to the light and finished on a gentle, film-inspired palette, so your gallery reads like an evening you would happily live again rather than a set of postcards.

Unhurried, low-pressure, and yours

Sessions run about an hour to ninety minutes, and we can drift between a couple of spots or stay in one and let it breathe. Bring the outfit you almost talked yourself out of, bring the dog, bring coffee. Whether your engagement session is the opening chapter of a DC wedding or simply a night the two of you wanted kept, I will hand you images that still feel like you a decade from now.
